Warm Christian Greetings To All

As we come to the end of 2021, we can truly say “Had it not been for the Lord on our side we would not have made it” (Psm.124:1). The local church was not open during 2021 because of the pandemic and because we took the opportunity to do some refurbishment while this was happening. However, we have not missed a service but have continued to meet online. This has worked out to be a mighty blessing for the shut in’s because they can now attend online service and receive a blessing. If you have not joined us for service, you can still do so. The information is on our website. The church may not have been open for services, but we have continued with our commitment to helping the needy in the community, by distributing food to the needy most days.

Yet again, as we go into 2022, we do not know what tomorrow holds, especially with what is happening with the virus. But we can confidently say we know who holds tomorrow and that is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. He is our strength and our stay, and He has promised never to leave us or forsake us (Deu.31:6). Therefore, let us not be fearful of the future but instead put our trust in the Lord of the future, Jesus Christ. He still makes the difference, even in these times of uncertainties.

I want to encourage you to follow the NHS Covid Protocols. Be especially mindful of hygiene, social distancing and wearing masks. Take regular tests especially if having symptoms. Know that God will bring us through 2022 just as he has brought us through 2021. Should you require prayer or further information, email us at slough@cogop.org.uk . The ministerial team and I are here to help you.

May the richness of His Grace be with you all.

Blessings

Senior Pastor Cecil Boyd.
