A word from the Pastor

Letter to the Local Church at slough Britwell

I greet you all in the Mighty name of Jesus,

All of us can agree that it is Gods grace that has brought us through 2020.

The church has been closed for public worship since March, however we have not missed any online service. Should you require information on our online service, email us at slough@cogop.org.uk. We are at present doing some refurbishment hence the reason reopening has been delayed. It is also important that we have the right measures in place when we reopen in order that we can worship in safety.

We continue to encourage all to follow and adhere to government guidelines regarding the pandemic. At present Slough along with most of the South East of England is in Tier 4. This means that we need to adhere to the most rigorous guidelines. Let us all play our part by following the rules. Please keep informed by visiting the government website for the latest information.

In the midst, of all that we have gone through this year, it was important to be reminded, (as we celebrated Christmas) of how Jesus Christ came to earth ‘that we may not perish but have everlasting life’ (John 3:16). It is because of Jesus that we have hope as we move into 2021. Therefore, let us move forward in confidence knowing that God will give us the strength to face the future, whatever it may hold.

It is my hope, that as a Church, we will continue to be on the move in 2021, meeting the needs of our members and community alike. Be encouraged and know that myself and the Ministerial Team are here to serve you. Please do not hesitate to contact us at slough@cogop.org.uk should you need further information. I will endeavour to give regular updates throughout the year.

Praying that Gods richest blessings will rest and abide with us as we journey through the coming year.
